Effective Plant Support Under Low Soil Temperature Conditions
In early spring, when soil temperatures fall below 10°C, phosphorus (P) uptake by roots is significantly limited. Despite adequate soil phosphorus levels, plants may exhibit symptoms of physiological deficiency due to reduced root activity and low phosphorus mobility in cold soils. Foliar fertilization allows phosphorus to be delivered directly to leaf tissues, bypassing the limitations of cold soil conditions.
VitaFer Macro P – Importance in Early Growth Stages
Phosphorus:
- participates in ATP synthesis and energy metabolism,
- is essential for efficient photosynthesis,
- stimulates root system development,
- supports flowering and fruit set,
- enhances tolerance to abiotic stress.
Application
Recommended for:
- cereals (tillering to stem elongation),
- oilseed rape and sunflower (rosette to budding stage),
- potato and sugar beet (emergence to intensive leaf growth),
- greenhouse vegetables (after transplanting, before flowering).
Rate: 2–3 L/ha, 2–3 applications at 10–14 day intervals starting from the 3–4 leaf stage.
Foliar phosphorus supplementation helps stabilize plant growth and development under low soil temperature conditions.
