Harvest is underway, and tonnes of straw, leaves and cover crop residues remain in the field. You can wait for nature to decompose them on its own, or you can use microbiology to transform them into humus and nutrients available for the next crop.
VitaFer® TrichoBio is a microbiological starter for crop residue decomposition. It combines Bacillus spp. 1 × 10⁹ CFU/g and Trichoderma spp. 1 × 10⁷ CFU/g.
The product is applied directly after harvest onto chopped crop residues to start the humification process and use the potential that remains in the field.
Why Act Right After Harvest?
Crop residues are material that can become a source of humus and nutrients for the next crop. Proper management of straw, leaves and plant residues helps build soil fertility after harvest.
VitaFer® TrichoBio supports:
- fast humification of crop residues,
- improvement of soil aggregate structure,
- improved water retention,
- release of N, P, K, Ca and Mg in available forms,
- increased biological activity in the soil,
- building the foundation for yield in the next season.
VitaFer TrichoBio — Microbiology After Harvest
VitaFer® TrichoBio combines the action of Bacillus spp. bacteria and Trichoderma spp. fungi. It is intended for application after harvest onto chopped crop residues.
The product can be used in:
- orchards,
- berry plantations.
- field crops,
Soil rich in humus and microorganisms is the foundation of every yield. That is why harvest is a good time to start building soil fertility for the next crop.
VitaFer TrichoBio Application Rate
Recommended application rate:
Field crops: 0.5–0.75 kg/ha
Orchards and berry plantations: 0.5–0.75 kg/ha
Water volume:
300–500 l/ha
Apply directly after harvest onto chopped crop residues.
How to Use VitaFer TrichoBio?
It is best to spray in the evening, onto moist soil. After application, mix the residues with the soil to a depth of 5–15 cm.
Application temperature range:
from +5°C to +35°C
Optionally, 5–7 kg N/ha can be added to speed up the effect.
Safe Use After Harvest
VitaFer® TrichoBio has no withdrawal period. It is non-toxic to humans, animals and pollinators.
Do not wait — harvest is the ideal moment to build soil fertility and use crop residues as a source of humus and nutrients.
