A small harvest has begun in some regions of Poland. Favorable weather will mean that the harvest will begin throughout Poland next week. Winter barley crops are the first to be harvested. The management of crop residues is one of the most important agrotechnical procedures preparing the field for growing the next crop. It is worth ensuring proper mineralization of straw that remains in the field after cereal and rapeseed equipment is harvested. A good choice are biodestructive preparations based on natural microorganisms. Preparations containing, in addition to cellulolytic bacteria, selected strains of Trichoderma spp. fungi will additionally ensure the health of future crops by limiting the number of spores of fungi that cause drought diseases, septoriosis and fusariosis.
VitaFer Soil Fast Recovery is a comprehensive microbiological preparation containing selected strains of Trichoderma spp. fungi and Bacillus spp. bacteria. Additionally, the preparation contains cellulolytic enzymes, natural phytohormones and vitamins that accelerate the process of humification and mineralization of plant residues.
It contains three strains of the Trichoderma fungus: T. viride, T. harzianym and T. reesei in an amount of 1 x 10*⁷ and five strains of Bacillus spp. in an amount of 1 x 10*⁹ CFU/gram.
Doses and dates of use
Spraying on plant residues in the field at an amount of 0.75 – 1 kg/ha, immediately after harvest, with subsequent mixing of the microbiological preparation in the soil from 5 cm to 15 cm. To accelerate the decomposition of residues, the preparation can be used together with a solution of 5% urea or RSM without added sulfur.
