The Agro Dystrybutor Open Day in Borkowo Wielkie was a good opportunity to talk about what is currently happening in the fields. Thank you to everyone who visited the VitaFer stand, brought soil and water samples, and asked questions about their crops.
Meetings like this show that many plant problems start with the basics: soil, pH, water quality for treatments or limited nutrient uptake. Uneven growth, leaf discolouration or weaker crop condition may have a cause that is worth checking before choosing the next treatment.
Soil and Water Testing During the Open Day
During the meeting at Agro Dystrybutor Janiszewscy, we mainly talked about crop condition, foliar fertilisation and micronutrients. Many questions concerned areas in the field where plants grow more weakly, turn yellow or clearly differ from the rest of the crop.
On site, growers could consult soil and water samples. This is important because water parameters, such as pH and hardness, have a strong influence on the effectiveness of foliar fertilisation. Soil matters as well — its pH, nutrient availability and conditions for the root system affect how plants take up nutrients.
Conversations About Fertilisation and Current Crop Problems
During the Agro Dystrybutor Open Day, many discussions focused on choosing treatments for the current situation in the field. We talked about how to react to visible deficiencies, weaker growth, stress after cold periods and problems with nutrient uptake.
We also discussed micronutrient fertilisation and foliar support for plants during intensive growth. For many crops, this is the moment when a quick reaction can help maintain good plant condition later in the season.
Thank You for Visiting Us in Borkowo Wielkie
We would like to thank Agro Dystrybutor Janiszewscy for hosting us and giving us the opportunity to meet local farmers. We also thank all participants for the conversations, questions, soil and water samples, and field observations.
More VitaFer open days are coming soon. If you would like to talk to an advisor about fertilisation, micronutrients, water quality for treatments or a specific crop problem, follow the next meeting dates.
See you at the next VitaFer events!
