Low temperatures and lack of snow cover, which we are currently observing, may cause damage to crops. When planning regeneration treatments in spring, a field inspection should be carried out before foliar fertilisation. Plants that have been severely damaged by frost may not respond to foliar fertilisation. In such a case, the treatment should be delayed until the plants regenerate after winter. For the first foliar fertilisation treatment, choose fertilisers containing microelements such as boron, manganese or zinc. We wait with the treatment until the appropriate air temperatures occur – this will facilitate better absorption of nutrients. If the plants are weakened by frost, fertilisers should be applied in smaller doses. This will prevent the plants from burning. After the treatment, the plants should be observed to see the reaction to fertilisation and, if necessary, supplement the feeding. For the first foliar fertilisation treatments, we recommend:
